The mermaid made it to the waystation but there was due to a recent fleet expansion insufficient available crew to man it. The survivors of the asteroid collision were put on a support frigate "Caliban" and put on route back to the main body of the fleet. This frigate has no spinal weapons, in fact only defense turrets reassigning the weapons volume to cargo and passenger spaces and extended range stardrives. In normal space operation it relys on its small fleet of fighter craft for its protection. Here we see the ship lifting through the atmosphere of the waystation planet on its way to a designated fold point for the spacefold that will be the first leg of its voyage to the fleet proper many parsecs coreward of the base.

RPG stuff, we've had to say goodbye to our old mothership there simply weren't the personnel available at the base in order to run it. We shut it down, set its power to self regulating and closed the airlocks. There it will remain till such time as a crew becomes available for it. Bit sad but at least we get to rejoin the fleet without having to spend too many stops in imperial and zhodane space.

I love it but, if you used vue, why didn't you make a better landscape ? I mean its good, its just that the really detailed ship just in front of it make it somehow empty...

There is an infinite terrain under there but with the density of the clouds at this height its very difficult to make out. Didn't particularly want to show the ship going to stardrive at an altitude where the troposphere may be adverseley affected too.
