No. It didn't have a jump drive like the new one it accelerated to lightspeed, the old hyperdrive method.

Did a great job on the Galactica. It's hard for me to decide which one I like the best, the new or the original. It's too bad that this is the final season of the current series. Hate to say it it's better than the original.

I know what you mean. I really enjoyed the "ORIGINAL" series as well,I didn't care for the spin-off Galactica 1980 either. But as a Sci-Fi fan still watch most of it.,Where as with the new series I basically gave up on because of too many changes in characters and plot lines. A quick question/comment on Last Battlestar I see that the landing bay is"closed" I may be wrong but in the series I believe the was no door there, but hey it's your work,Im the viewer

Theres only landing bay doors on the aft section of the pods in the original series. They aren't a big open space like the ones on the new series the closed end held ship repair facilities and tylium storage.

You Have Lightwave?! :faint:
ohhhhhh I'm so jealous right now!!
I've been drooling over it forever, but just can't seem to justify the cost....... gah, I was just trying to convince myself that it would be Ok to spend the $$ for vue6 this week.... unfortunately, my artsy side is not being very convincing to my "The heating fuel tank is almost empty & I don't like to freeze" side

Yeah lightwave is my main program followed a close second by max. Suzy uses max for college, its her license my last one was max 8.
I got vue 6 xstream in a bundle with a voucher. Lightwave 9 used to ship with vue 5 infinite, used the voucher to upgrade it last january. Personally though vue 5 renders faster than vue 6, not a clue why, just does on my comp. Keeping track of all the soft is a nightmare as I've been using lightwave at home since lw4 and max at home since max 2. I have always found lightwave to be a simpler learning arc than max thats why I always start the youngsters on it. Its like join the dots in 3d lol at its simplest level.

 a connect the dots type program is exactly what I need. I have absolutely no experience with 3d rendering but I'm itching to give it a go. Thanks for the input, maybe after the holidays I'll treat myself to a new program instead of :lmao: a tank of fuel ;)

Lightwave unlike Max is divided into two distinct programs, the modeller where you make and texture your objects and Layout where you render and animate them. Modeler is very simplistic and extremely powerful. Layout is super easy with a little practice to get stunning renders. That battlestar I did for you took less time to render than do patchup in photoshop, there were polygons missing or set invisible to rays all over the place. Not going to be replying much for the next week or two am snowed under with tax forms, unheard of relatives and social services vampires.
