Map of the Raftworld, a popular haunt of the player characters in our Spelljammer campaign. The drawing is something of a test here as I recently bought a wacom tablet and have been practicing with it on RPG maps the intention to make them digital colour. The original map here was pencil and technical pen (isograph) The hexagons are islets in much the same manor as the street blocks are islets in Venice. The boxes represent individual plots of land with the black circles representing one or more noteable trees or orchards. Building roofs should be self explanatory. The canals average 12 metres wide, 15 metres deep with a tow path of 3 metres each side. What aren't shown are connecting bridges as they've been left to the DM's discretion.
In the original pencil and ink sketch map the hexs were 8 inches across the flats and designed by individual gamemasters in their own styles and architectures. By making it digital I'd hoped to shrink it to just a double page foldout for the rules suppliment.
