Sea of Sand

Our mobile base of operations a support frigate as yet un-named decends to a landing in a continent sized desert on a newly descovered world. Initial scout sensor data detected a partially buried structure of indeterminate age in this region, the planet its totally devoid of life so how did it get here? Anyway thats our mission this time - go investigate the structure and determine if possible who or what created it and for what purpose and when. Being attached to the Argo is pretty cool, they treat deep penetration survey and rescue teams like ours very well, we not only have a cavernous operations centre aboard the mothership we also have this brand new support frigate thats been specially outfitted with every imaginable device to aid in our work at our disposal. Its a mobile base of operations for any missions we are assigned to. We've still to come up with a name for our home from home but this is the first real mission we've been on were its being used full time. Never know it could get its name this trip
