Busy morning at spacedock.

I'm sold, much prefer this design of spacedock to that big metal mushroom of the films and reuse in later tv progs. This came about purely as new wallpaper for the wifes laptop.

Any scaling issues (there are many) can be ignored, hell you know what the back button is for or should do by now.

Spacedock by madman1701, lightwave conversion by me.
Background earth model by me.

Full view makes nice wallpaper, afterall thats what this pic was made for.

And what may I ask is wrong with the old design for the star base/space dock?

Not that this one has GREAT POTENTIAL for moding.

Nothing wrong with the design of the station -- it's more correct than what was put on film in poiny of fact.

There is only one error; and that has to do with the docked cruisers. They are shown all docking with thier bows to the station -- this is the error. The Constitution class (and related classes) have their auxilary deflector arrays at that location (the three lights forward) with their main docking purts located on the starboard side of the saucer. In later models, this became the site for the crew lounge (6-Forward in Kirk's ship and 10-Forward in Picard's). This was in relation to the Officer's/VIP lounge located on deck 3.

Thanks, theres some debate over two of the registry sets but I used the ones from the 1975 starfleet manual as reference.
